I started MLMSurvivor.com in 1999, and between then and January of 2005, created hundreds of pages with links to breaking news, lawsuits, scandals and other information about abusive MLM organizations masquerading as legitimate businesses. In 2005, I developed some serious health problems — some of them a result of the previous five years of overwork and chronic sleep deprivation while I worked on this site, answered your emails, and defended myself from frivolous legal attacks.

Now I have decided to add occasional updates, although my level of activity here will never return to what it was in the early part of this decade.

As always, this is a spare time effort. From time to time in the past, I earned a few dollars here and there from affiliate links and such. Now that bloggers are being forced to disclose earnings from their blogs, I will say the same thing I always did.

If you click on a link that takes you to a place where you can buy something, I may earn a few pennies from the transaction. If you buy my book, Amway Motivational Organizations: Behind the Smoke and Mirrors (of which there are very few copies left), I make a few dollars instead of a few pennies. If I write a review of a book or another item, it’s because I believe that will be helpful to you, not because I’ve been paid to review it. If that changes in the future, I’ll state it very clearly up front.
